You have to really watch a whole series of Farscape to appreciate its brilliance. It hits all the bases. Sure, in some episodes they go for a kind of wacky humour, but that's not always the case. There's moments of poignant emotion, real drama, suspense, horror even. It's a comedy melodrama thriller western set in outer space. They have some exceptionally creative writers, a colourful cast of characters and muppets. What more do you want? :p
Stargate, on the other hand, I have no love for. Zzzzzzz.
I don't know, Vega. People told me the same thing about Dr. Who but I suppose I shouldn't judge a series based only on two episodes. If I find a cheap dvd somewhere, I'll pick it up and give it a try.
Farscape isn't that bad. I've seen it on TV a few times and watched it, but it does seem like the type of show you would have to watch from the beginning to understand and like it a lot.
