I know that there have been posts about this game in the past, but I just got it and I LOVE it. I'm a long time StarCraft fan, and I wasn't sure that this game was going to be up to my standars. Not only did it reach them, but it sat on them, took a dump, poored gasoline on it, and set it on fire. I know some other people play it here, but I've forgotten who you are.
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds
It isn't me. I'm totaly absorbed in Dues Ex right now.
Its just Age of the Empires, good, but dated.
Still, its the only Strategy SW based game out there, and the graphics are suprisingly good for the dated engine.
There was an older strategy game. Rebellion, or something. Though it was space/conquest strategy rather than the typical Starcraft type stuff.
I play it, or used to, currently im still in "Use map settings" in SC again...
course, then imma move back to Empire Earth

Simon plays Rebellion.
Now, if they'd used the Empire earth engine . . .
Yeah. I wanted to get Rebellion, but its so out of date I can't find it anywhere.
I have a copy. And I'm almost sure it won't run on Windows XP (sniff), that I could send you (maybe).
Rebellion is a great game, though. It's very tough, and the fleet gaming format isn't my favourite, but it's a good game.
There's also Star Wars: Force Commander, which is more or less an earlier edition of Command and Conquer: Generals. It's not bad, all things considered, but I'm not a fan of 3D in RTS games for some reason... I actually PREFER the ariel view. One less thing to keep track of, anyway.
*wants to play KotR, but doesn't have XBox*
Hoping it comes out on PS2, or I might have to give up and get the bloody PC version.
