I have to admit, it's quite the surprise game.

I got it today, just wanting to play around, and ended up really enjoying it. The gameplay is similar to Spiderman 3, but has been vamped to make you feel more like Spidey - namely you can move faster, swing better and even fight whole battles without even touching the ground, despite fighting at street level!

I have officially fallen in love with his web-attacks, especially when you yank yourself toward an enemy, punch or kick him on the head, leap into the air, pull him after you, tie him up in webbing as you move through the air and then slam him down against cold, hard pavement... classic, and so enjoyable.

I haven't gotten very far, but the addition of 'allies' makes it interesting. For those in the know, some are Luke Cage, Wolverine, maybe even Iron Man (not certain, but his face is on posters around the place), as well as villains like Venom and Black Cat.

You get different allies depending on how you play - being good in the Red Suit (normal outfit that is), while saving citizens means you get the goodies to help out; but play bad with the black suit and leave people for dead, means you get the villains.

Try it out. It's really fun.

Dude, sweet game.

Currently doing the black/symbiote suit storyline (which is to say; villain). I can see this one being a valued part of my collection. Of course I'm not like Paul in one regard - I buy games and keep them because I like having a big collection so that I can play any game, from many choices, whenever I feel like gaming. Not that I have anything against people who buy and exchange to save the bucks, just not a choice for me.

I'm a one income family at the moment, so my gaming budget is far more limited than I would prefer. I once had 60 games, and whittled them down to about a dozen...

I shall work my way back to owning them all (new ones, mostly), but for now I must make do. ;)

But, yes, Spiderman: WoS rocks. I love how he moves, and how every surface can be clung to in some manner. I also like how he sounds, given his 'geeky' nature, and the lines he throws out at some of the bad guys/allies is hilariously 'Spidey'.

I'm doing the good guy storyline so far, but will try the black suit soon enough. Might even run some games at the same time, taking turns on each...

Needless to say, I love this game. I love being able to fight without touching the ground, and I love the battles that can be had 50 feet above street level, without feeling any concern about possibly falling - like Spiderman would, I feel completely in control at all times when leaping and web slinging.

It's awesome.
