So, about music downloading - LEGAL downloading...

Ok, so I've heard that it is now possible to legally obtain music on the internet, by purchasing it online. Now, this sounds like a good idea to me, as although I still don't really like music much if I'm just going to listen to it, I do like the thought of acquiring music for other things, such as Compilation disks, or background music.

Also, my dad has a good interest in music, and having a wide selection a few clicks away would be nice, apparently. So, I'm asking if any of you know of any LEGAL downloading sites, for buying tracks, which has a good selection and can take a Canadian billing address?

I tried Puretracks, but the selection is - according to my dad, who is more knowledgable about these sorts of things - poor. Itunes, a Mac thing, has a store, however, it doesn't take Canadian billing addresses. Any others out there?

iTunes doesn't allow Canadian's? I think Lupercus (Australian) has an iTunes account.

I would imagine that iTunes just takes a credit card, and doesn't give a whoop about where you live, just so long as you have the plastic.

I could be wrong, though. Never used it myself.

Assuming Dolash's parents aren't freaked out about the whole giving out your card number over the internet thing.

FutureShop has a new one. Bonfire.futureshop.ca, or something.

They're Canadian. But you probably need a credit card, not a billing address. Internet people aren't very trusting.
