ok, what very little support, very little I had leftover for Bush, has basically evaporated thanks to his alienating of Russia. So, trying to keep serious discussion more inline than bashing please, does anyone else get the feeling that he's trying to start WW3?

No, he's just being Bush. This administation is so rife with scandal and failure, that starting WW3 would help Bush in the long run because it might overshadow the terrible things he's done since taking office when people look back on this period in American history.

It's not WW3 they're after.

It's the Cold War Part Deux.

After all, it's far easier for people to ignore what you're doing if they think there's this 'evil super power plotting'. Remember: Corporations are important because anything else is Communist!

Yeah, they're trying to establish an omnipresent threat. You can only, logistically, chance a bunch of machete wielding nut jobs through mud huts for so long, and then everyone has to go back to their real lives and beat their real lives and stop buying duct tape in bulk, but EVERYONE hates a dirty, evil communist! You can hate those guys FOREVER, man, with their furry hats and their vodka and their snow. Fuck Russia, man. USA! USA! USA!

In other news, the Bush administration is recruiting Sunni radicals in Iraq who were originally fighting US troops to do its dirty work for it. Hey, its not our fault if they're the ones torturing people, right? Right??
