For those of you who keep track of The Wheel of Time, you already know. Robert Jordan has died. Dragnmount has been hammered into the ground at the news, but I like Tar Valon better anyway. Link.

:(

I hope someone finishes A Memory Of Light. Knife Of Dreams was fantastic, finally bringing the series back to the heights that it reached in the first three books and in Lord Of Chaos.

And with no overlord to look out for it, I truly hope someone doesn't take advantage and butcher the story to make a movie of the series.

You can say that again.

Not to mention sad people. The author of my childhood dreams is dead. I started the WoT series at 14 years of age. You could say that it 'popped my Fan Fiction cherry'. It was instrumental in me becoming interested in fan fiction, and led directly to me joining TRF. I still have handwritten FF from WoT.
