I opened up TRF thismorning and I got a PM from a ChrisPark saying he's new, he wanted help, and here's a link to a picture of me.

THIS LINK IS A TROJAN. Avira caught it, but for some of you who may not have AV protection this file is bad news. Don't open this guy's PM.

People who register can still PM though they should not be able to post. So, if you do not know who is pm'ing you, delete it.

Thanks for the post, Kach.

Kach, I'm pretty sure this is the most useful thing you have ever done at TRF. Kudos. Plus, you write stuff too eh?

While it's possible to disable PM messaging for new accounts, that would also restrict them from PMing an admin to enable their account if they are a legitimate new member.

I will, however, cut down the maximum inbox size of new users awaiting moderation down to 10 messages total, since some spam accounts that are quite clearly spam accounts have 150 logged PMs, which (a) takes up space, and (b) annoys actual members.

Okay, so users that haven't been approved by a moderator or administrator can now store a maximum of ten messages.

Is it me? or are these spam-whippersnappers getting more and more advanced?
