I stumbled across this story today...

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2005091542,00.html

Says that Kenny Baker got banned? What does that mean? His license was suspended? I don't speak English so one of you wankers are gonna have to translate that article for me. I'm assuming though that it means his license was suspended...

Hm... Is this an actual article? I'd never known that a miniature man was piloting the miniature robot... Strange times, indeed.

Um... ya... Kenny Baker actually played R2-D2 in all of the Star Wars movies and he's also going to be in Episode III... so yes it's a real article.

The actor was given a year’s ban and fined £50 by JPs in Leyland, Lancs.

What he means to say is nobody understands what the 'ban' is (unless it means something like his driver license being revoked) and we don't know what JPs are. Leyland, Lancs. I'm assuming is someplace in Lanchester (assuming there is a Lanchester, but I think there is).

No but that's the thing Jan... I'm sure Seth DOES understand exactly what it says.

I was reffering to what you were saying, to help Seth know what you might not have understood in the article (and what I wasn't sure about).

Well, he was found to be driving under the influence, and is not allowed to drive anything for a year.

I believe they actually take away your licence, then after your ban is over you can apply for a new one.

He won't be driving for a year minimum, well not legally anyway.

Dunno whether that includes driving around in R2 units though... (that would be funny to witness, a pissed R2 unit).

Lancs stands for Lancashire, and Leyland is the town. As for Jps....dunno, probably referring to the Judge.
