Perhaps the most telling question you can ask of a North American is this:
What is your opinion of high school?
(Not in a funding/political sense.)
Discuss.

I like it. I'm at high school now, it seems fun. Just don't try and interact with a lot of people and you'll get along just fine.
Pretend to be smarter then you actually are and no one will care enough to prove you wrong.

My Highschool is good and bad. Some kids I like, some I hate, and some are just @#%$ up.
The teachers are for the most part cool with the exception of a few.

High School sucks. Thank god, I graduated out of that hell hole of idiots. Of course, its most likely where I live that plays a part of it.
Same thing everyday, wake at 7, smoke pot all day, eat lunch, smoke a ciggarette, and leave at 2.
I hated it. Or course, the girls were fantastic, bashs were great.

When I was a Freshman, and Sophmore, I just layed low, and tried to secede from society, and for the most part it worked. In my junior year, I came out of my shell, and it worked. My senior year I was treated like a God, and passed plenty of judgement on those who looked up at me. The only people who picked on me were the small people who thought they could beat up big bullies (unfortunatley for me, they thought everyone who is big had to be a bully. Damn American Cartoons.), and some black people, which suprised me because I am not racist. Far from it.

I can't remember anything of value that I learned in high school. Except that teachers aren't above lying, and that some (not necessarily the same ones) have to work at K-Mart to pad their income, which is sad.
