How do you convert your desktop to JPEG so I can post it?

Paste it into MS paint, and when you go into the save it as menu, click on the bottom drop down menu where it says .BIP and select JPEG from the menu, then save.

Kraken, that one post has completely redeemed you in my eyes.

Congrats, man.

Anyway, because I can't help but Googling every reference made on this board I haven't heard of...*shakes fist at Beff and Titus*

And somehow I managed to make something so badass look so geeky at the same time with a WoW theme, but hey, it was the best one I could find.

Seriously, Titus or Beff, give me the links to some better themes.

What's litestep?

And do any of you realize how hard it is to find backgrounds in 1680 x 1050 resolution? If anyone's got any helpful (free) links, hook a brother up.

Litestep is a windows shell replacement. Lets you customize windows to a very incredible amount, IIRC. I toyed with it and many other shell replacements for awhile, and then uninstalled them and actually got some work done. Too much time fiddling.

It's hard to find decent backgrounds for anything larger or different from 1024x768. I end up having to either make my own, or resize and edit whatever I like. Zark, deviantart.com will often have some interesting stuff. The background I have now is actually concept art for the movie I Robot. It was significantly smaller when I got my hands on it.

For the most part I save any cool looking wallpaper-type images when I come across them, and then later I sort through and edit or customize depending on my desires. I don't change images that often.
