By answering 4 yes or no answers.
Hey guys, I'm working on a sociology project and would appreciate it if you could take the time to answer 4 simple yes or no questions and then identify the country you are in. If from canada, please identify the province as well.
1. Do you think TASERs are too dangerous to be used?
2. Do you think TASERs are more effective than a gun?
3. Do you think TASERs should be available for public use?
4. Should TASERs continue to be used in law enforcement?
Simply PM me in the following format for example:
1. No
2. Yes
3. No
4. Yes
Country: Canada
Province: Ontario
Thank you very much guys.

Damn, sorry I missed this.
It's hard, in retrospect, to answer all of the above four questions with simple negative or positive responses.
1. Do you think TASERs are too dangerous to be used?
I would be inclined to answer, "no". That answer, however, would be misleading as it would, by default, include elements excluded from the question but implied in my answer. For instance; do I think TASERs are too dangerous to be used by trained law enforcement officers? No. However; do I think TASERs are too dangerous to be used by infants? Yes, emphatically!
2. Do you think TASERs are more effective than a gun?
Are TASERs more effective then guns? Yes, but only for the purposes for which they were designed. Do I think a TASER would be more effective at incapacitating a subject? No, a bullet in the brain is a much more permanent solution however, if that subject needs to be detained without long term harm implied...
3. Do you think TASERs should be available for public use?
Thankfully this one is easier, it expresses a more complete thought and can be answered without mitigating influences. Even then it seems difficult to me to answer this question without explaining my answer. Do I think TASERs should be available for public use? If, in the majority of the world, fire-arms can be obtained with a minimum of difficulty I see no reason that something like a TASER which is less lethal should be restricted additionally.
4. Should TASERs continue to be used in law enforcement?
Yes, if that law enforcment agency has determined their use effective.
Too little too late, I know. Sorry Jan, but I simply couldn't resist responding.

Hey I dont know when you need ppl to respond but As a Security Officer I will Respond.
1. Do you Think TASERS are to dangerous to be used?
No they are not. It stuns the body for a certian amount of time so the Officers can do what they need to inorder to resist the suspect from further harm to themselves and other people.
2. Do you think TASERS are more affective than a gun?
Yes. The gun causes neuromuscular incapacitation for a point of time knocking the suspect to the ground. so if the suspect with high pain tolarence was coming right at the officer and the officer pulled out a gun and shot the him without killing him he could still charge at the officer, whereas the tazer would drop him where he was at but stunning the motor and sensory nerves.
3. Do You think TASERS should be available for public use?
Yes. (coming from a womans point of view) If your under attack by someone who is twice your size without any training experince whatsoever how are you going to get away. If the guy has high pain tolarance kicking them in the nuts will not stop them from harming you more. It will make them angry and attack more aggressivily. So if you have taser you can tase them and get away and call the cops. Its a device that is not to be played around with but a device that can save your life in a given situation.
4. Should TASERS continue to be used in law enforcement?
Yes. even though there are more than 200 death counts from Tasers, They are more substantail than a baton and OC. They havent killed as many people as a gun has. The List could go on and On.
Country: UNITED STATES
Good luck I hope it helps!
