I'm looking for a couple new games to get in to. Those of you who recall will note I have a pretty fair gaming rig. That said...

Fighter Pilot - I'm fixing for a combat flight simulator. Preferably a modern-style game, but space and other options will be considered with sufficient recommendation.

Naval Ops - Any good for PC? I'm a fan of the 'build your ship' concept.

Don't know any recent good combat flight sims.

Naval games? Silent Hunter III. Submarine game. Haven't played it... but it's supposed to be good. And it's submarines...

These games aren't newer, but are fairly fun Naval ops. Jane's Fleet Command and Enigma: Rising Tide are fun games.

Enigma: Rising Tide

Have had it for years. Bought it for the voice interface, stayed for the sinking ships.

I want a fighter sim.

IL-2 Sturmovik appears to be a good choice. It's a little older (2001) but looks to be one of the best combat flight sims.

Here's a review.

I think LucasArts should be petitioned for a new TIE Fighter game.

Well, there is a new fighter sim out, but only for the X360. But it may be eventually be released into the PC market as well. If you have a X360, I'd look up Ace Combat 6, Fires of Liberation.
