A ZOO is planning to show its 'shy' male gorilla explicit tapes of other primates mating to get it to make a move on his female companions.

The move, planned at New Orleans' Audubon Zoo, comes after a China zoo showed 'panda porn' to one of its inexperienced female pandas.

Casey the gorilla, 21, has not impregnated any of the zoo's three female primates - Binti and Fanya, both 28, and Binti’s eight-year-old daughter, Praline – so keepers decided to copy the Chinese zoo's move.

"Hopefully, he will get some inspiration," curator Dan Maloney said.
