I find Myspace to be incredibly stupid. Especially the people that have them and spend countless hours on them. If your going to spend that much time on the computer you'd be better off finding a good forum that actually does something worth while. However, Myspace is a good thing for business because if your hiring someone all you have to do is check there Myspace to see what kind of person they are.

You're prematurely judging. Not everyone uses Myspace to be a whore. Most just add people they actually know, and it's useful for parties or finding out things without having to message or call people all damn day.

Until about three hours ago, I had a myspace. I deleted it because my parents started bitching about crap on my computer, and I don't want to deal with it.

So AIM, Myspace, and a myriad of other things got deleted. The truly important stuff like Revoltion and now, TRF, are still under wraps though.

...it works as an alternate spelling. I like.

But you know, Myspace wasn't ever actually ON your computer...

Myspace has come out with a messenger... I thought he meant that.. I only know because this hyper active woman on my friends list keeps wanting all her friends to download it

Really?!

Is it clean? I mean, compared to other mass-market IM devices; does it run smoothly, is it small, does it have spyware?

I'm just curious and way too lazy to look for myself.

I don't endorse myspace nor do I claim to like it. I think its sloppy and much harder than it should be to make your page look anything other than ugly.

However, I do use it to keep up on friends bands and it's useful for finding new people when I move to new areas (which I do often) and keep up on old friends from old locations.

I also used to use facebook but since I've been out of college for a few years now I just let that one go.

My pages are never ugly. I use non-myspaceish designs.

I use Myspace to keep in contact with friends who move away, see bands' latest blogs and tour dates, and talk to my friends that do not have AIM or MSN.
