Dolash, old boy!

I hear you're majoring in computer science! That's great, as I need you to do my C++ homework, so I can focus on doing math in Cambridge notebooks -- the ones with spirals at the top and strong pages that don't rip out just because I cross-out mistakes with a vengeance.

No, what I really mean is that you should ditch philosophy for physics. Philosophy is old news, and I'll tell you the end of the story: it still has no way of distinguishing between a good and bad idea after millenia of circular argument. I will hound you like a dog from hell until I save your soul.

(Aleister's Jedi training thread? Well, Zarky needs all the Jedi he can get...)

He means me, Hex.

I put Han to Rest here and am working on a new character.

Anyways... wow. I've always wondered where you ran off to. You should catch me on aim someday so we can chat about the old days.

Counter-point. Without an injection of philosophy, Computer Science will never manage to produce awesome robots and AI.

counter-counter-point.

Without policing, society will break down into anarchy and the potential for awesome robots and AI will no longer exist,no matter how much philosophy and computer science you have. So my program wins?

In that respect "philosophers" don't have a monopoly on philosophy! Turing didn't need no formal edumucation in philosophy.

But let's compromise... In exchange for philosophy you can do extra work in relativity. Come o~n, it's a fair deal.

But where would policing be without Robocop?

Heya Damalis, I should've known you'd still be fightin' the good fight! And 'ello Mark Hamil.

Definitely, I'll try to get on AIM during my break this week, Han. I still have the same old screenname (CourscaAiv), but my activity has gone way down these last years since I'm bad at multitasking with it.

Jesus, I was expecting to see a response, but I guess I killed this thread dead.

Dolash, naturally I'm just pulling your leg. :D Besides, it's not like I don't get injected with a liberal amount of, er, liberal arts at my Jesuit institution. I'm glad to see ya!
