Warning! This thread, and the music linked to in this thread may contain frequent references to 'Jesus', 'God' and that whole 'Christian Thing'. If you are offended, threatened or insulted by such references...

Tough beans. :)

I've mentioned on more than one occasion that I'm a member of a band. We've been together for almost two years now, and our current project is trying to cut a CD, or at least cut a few songs. Since we're a poor band, we don't have any real recording equipment. We're forced to use a computer. *gasp*

Last week I got the computer setup to record, and we quickly tested it. The file linked here is the only one I had time to upload. Keep in mind that this is probably about the roughest recording possible. We tested no volumes, the drums are not miked, the bass amp is out for servicing, and our lead guitarist wasn't present.

Anyhow, just for kicks, you can download Out to sea here

Couldn't really make out the lyrics but you guys (and gals?) are pretty gifted.

What do you call yourselves?

You just start writing your own music for two years did you just do covers?

Guys and Gals, Simon. There are six of us, two girls and four guys. Tabitha (lead vocals, bass guitar) Signe (keys, backup vocals) Zach (Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Backup Vocals) Titus {me} (Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar) Caleb (Drums) Zach (Percussion & various shaking and jangling things)

We did other people's music for around a month or so, but then we realized it was lame. :)

We lead worship at a small church once a month, and play at local events, business fair, county fair, county festivals, etc.

Another song up. You can download These Cracks here. On this recording the drums were miked, sort of. We had our only spare mike propped up in front of the bass drum. :p As a result there's quite a lot of 'popping' and audio distortion.

We tried recording again today. Didn't go so hot, timing was off on all the separate tracks. >_<

good thing someone asked about the vocals.. hehe I was seriously wondering about you guys... but since you said it WAS a girl singing, it's pretty cool... get you guys in a studio and it would be awesome

The fish is a Christian symbol, and a plaid is a weave of different colored threads.

Like I said, we're poor. I would rather spend the hundreds needed to do a studio set on some real recording equipment, and then just do it ourselves. To me, it would be better to spend six hundred on an external soundcard than spend it on a few days of studio time. It would really rock to be able to record our stuff anytime we want, and then distribute new stuff on the web.

I once wrote a song about Jesus.

It was called Jesus XP.

Jesus was expressed as an answering service.
