Wonderful fantasy movie. Didn't get enough press or it would have done alot better. You can't go wrong with a Neil Gaiman story.

Juno: Really good movie, girlfriend and I liked it a lot.

Meet The Spartans: My housemates missed the movie they were planning to watch, saw this one instead and walked out 25 minutes into the theater it was so bad. Many of the people around them found it amusing, however they were much younger. Apparently having reached the ripe old age of 21 for my housemates, they are too old to appreciate Meet The Spartans. As such, anyone around that age should be hesitant to see it.

Not a movie and completely offtopic, but new episode of House tomorrow night :).

Finally. I hate these damn mid-season breaks. I think they only have 2-3 more episodes because of the Writer's strike, though. :mad

Juno was good, I enjoyed it, but it is not Oscar material. I'm just shocked it was nominated... Really want to see some of the other pics, though... Attonement is supposed to be good, and Michael Clayton sounds cool. I've also heard good things about No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood.

Surprisingly entertaining movie but then I wasn't expecting much. I laughed some but not alot, and the characters were likeable. Good movie.

Just saw We Own the Night last night, I was pretty disappointed. I had high hopes for it, which it didn't really live up to. It wasn't a bad movie, just not a very good one.

Let's see... what have I seen recently that hasn't really been discussed here... Superbad, must see. 'Nuff said.

Death Sentence, another movie I had high hopes for after watching the trailers. It was a pretty good movie, but not quite what I thought it was going to be. Towards the end it really started to derail.

Shoot 'em Up... if you're just looking for a mindless action movie, and I really do mean mindless, then you might enjoy Shoot 'em Up. You really have to completely suspend disbelief wholeheartedly, it's pretty far fetched, but can be entertaining as well.

A few others I just thought of that I've seen recently, Good Luck Chuck with Dane Cook. I actually enjoy Dane Cook's comedy, I think he's a pretty funny guy as a comedian but as an actor that's a whole different ballpark. It had its funny moments, and Jessica Alba is smokin' hot. So if you can catch it on cable it might be worth it if you enjoy comedies.

Lastly, Eastern Promises. What a great movie, I wasn't expecting much and found it to be an awesome flick. Viggo Mortensen did a fantastic job and I was most surprised with Armin Mueller-Stahl who I'd never heard of before but he plays the mob boss and does a brilliant job.

sorry, I saw Superbad as well and didn't like it enough to give it a review... I really hate comedies where the joke is fueled by either humiliating someone or bodily functions made disgusting...

It just depends on what kind of movies you like. If you like movies like Old School, 40 Year Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers, Knocked Up, then you'll probably like Superbad. If not, then you won't.
