Depends on ones concept of honour but I don't feel such a debate is necessary.
But I agree with you on that Telan. Almost all democracies I've seen out there have succumbed to their own greed. In fact, almost ALL governments I've seen succumb to greed. It's rather disheartening...
A country with the 'wealth' like America has, has the resources at it's disposal to bring those third world countries to a healthy state but refuse to do so at their own want. But I suppose those nation's rulers are also at blame for spending most of their relief funds on weapons. And the people for trying to uprise thus causing the weapons to be bought in a never ending cycle of blame and suffering!
