I'll sort this out after I get some sleep.
The rules of the game:
-Remember, during the day, everyone fits in, and says hello, and is chumly. Roles you play come into effect during the night, thus, it is somewhat imperative that you don’t make your first post in this thread “Hi, I’m Milkshake, I’ll be playing the role of Simon Kaine”, because that would ruin the game.
-You can, however, post idiosyncrasly. If you’ve noticed you have a role where someone speaks a certain way, you can emulate that for your and my amusement. Feel free to parody; just try not to make it too obvious. Some roles in the game have a lot of power in the game and keeping them around is preferable, so again, try to avoid revealing your role.
-If you feel like you’re backed into a corner, and must reveal your role, okay. That said, don’t form lynch mobs at random to try and get people to out their roles.
-If someone demands to know your role and ability and you don’t want to say, by all means, please lie.
-Please respect the night and day shift. While I can’t enforce it because you can PM and AIM whenever, it makes the game more interesting. And please don’t talk about the game, in whatever format, outside of those who are listed as your in game allies in your PM.
How to Play:
-The game breaks down, kind of like TRF, into good versus evil. During the day, a vote count will take place to eliminate one player in the game. That player will then be brought to town hall and hung. After that their role will be revealed and we will enter a night phase. During the night phase, evil players will have the option to execute one citizen. Upon their death their role will be revealed and we will enter a day phase again. This will continue until victory conditions are achieved.
-The victory conditions for the five good aligned players will be the elimination of the evil players. Once no evil roles remain and no independent victors exist, good will win and the game will end.
-The victory conditions for the six evil aligned players will be the elimination of every citizen except for them. Once all the good and independent victors have been eliminated, evil will win and the game will end.
-There are groups within the game. Groups consist of two players who can talk and collaborate. They can be evil aligned or good aligned but that doesn’t mean they can communicate with all evil aligned or all good aligned characters or be made aware of them, so always be careful with the lynch votes, in case you eliminate one of your own.
-Independent victory conditions and additional role information for the neutral characters are secret. Be warned there is a very powerful neutral role out there that is in everyone’s interest to eliminate.
-There is, in the game, a role of a seer. During the night phase, this person can investigate a citizen and determine various things about them. There may be more then one. Keep in mind there is an inherent danger about outing this information and the nature of how it was obtained, but it is to your advantage to use this role carefully if you have it.
-Once you die in the game, please don’t post in the thread and give people hints or suggestions. Once you’re dead, just kick back and watch.
-No quoting communications with me, such as your role PM, for any reason.
-If I feel like you are playing to the determent of the game or abusing it or generally just being a pain, I’ll kill you in the game and everyone will move on without you.
-Have fun. This is just a silly side game, and shouldn’t be a source of strife for anyone. Just kick back and enjoy.
How to lynch:
-If a person is acting suspicious, you may vote to have them lynched. This will take the form of a bolded vote: Lynch Otaku, if you wanted to lynch Otaku for example. If you wanted to change your vote, you must bold that as well, such as Change vote: Unvote Otaku, vote No Lynch.
-Once a simple majority has been reached, the person who was voted to be lynched has their fate sealed. Attempts to unvote them after the majority is reached will be futile.
-If the vote is a tie, there is a tie breaker role. If the vote is still a tie for whatever reason, then the town will agree to disagree and there will be no lynch.
-If you don’t want to lynch someone, vote no lynch. Remember that evil gets to kill someone in the night so a day when you don’t lynch a bad guy, for the good roles, is a bad day. Of course, lynching a good guy and then letting evil kill one would also be bad, so be careful. Sometimes a no lynch is better then a lynch, but it always helps out the bad guys.
-Remember when voting you’re voting for the account and player of the game. Their role could be very different from their personality, so voting for someone based on their past OOC niceties, or lack thereof, is not the best strategy to take.
Anyway, that should about cover everything. Just have fun and don’t be an ass, everything should be okay.
If you signed up, and don’t get a role PM today, I fucked up. Post here and I’ll work something out.
