Lord of the Rings
Ah, Smite Me.
I love this new film. It is officially the best film of all time in my mind. It had the greatest... everything... ever...

I haven't seen it yet but i plan to see it just for the sake of seeing all three of the LOTR films plus i'm reading "The fellowship of the ring" in English.
(Spoilers ahead)
Kraken, did you want the movie to be another hour long? There's a reason they left out the scouering the Shire.
Though I was very disapointed by the lack of the 'Voice of Saruman' chapter (from the books), and Gandalf breaking Saruman's staff.
And they didn't have the parlay between Aragorn and the Mouth of Saroun. They had an actor lined up for the role and everything, but it got cut out I guess.
Shame...
The ending with the land collapsing all around them was kind of hokey, but it worked (I suppose).
The ending went on and on, and I think those minutes could have been better spent by covering some of the stuff from the books more accurately.
Denethor the Insane was well done.
Other than that... it was brilliant.

Did anybody think the death of Denethor reminded you of the movie Frankenstein?
And I'm pretty sure the breaking of saruman's staff will get chucked into the extended DVD.

whats Lord of the Rings?
They better... Saruman wasn't in the movie at all!
And Legolas and Gimli had pretty small roles, too. Shame.

I heard it is going to be chucked into the extended version.
It will be...Peter said so on the extended DVD for the Two Towers :) .
I agree the ending did seem to drag a bit and we didn't get to see enough of Gimli or Legolas (Gimli cause he's funny as hell and Legolas cause well....he's cute! *blush*)
*SPOILER!*
I liked how they blacked out the screen for a few seconds not long after Frodo and Sam destoryed the ring...and me almost jumping out of my seat screaming 'THAT CAN'T BE IT!'
