suggestions on what shows to watch on hulu.com and slashcontrol.com I don't want to download anything so...

I already watch Bones and Ghost Hunters but I was looking to branch out. I've checked in on NCIS too, loved Robert Wagner as Tony's dad, and I was thinking of looking into watching some Castle. Is it a show I can just start watching and be able to keep up? They tend to only have the five most recent episodes at any given time. I've also watched House several times.

No reality shows, the closest to those I care to watch is like Clean House and cooking shows, and I don't care for Dramas that well.

Where we are we don't get cable, too rural, and until we've got our new house budget settled, we're not adding any sattellite TV so I have to find and keep track of internet means to watch the shows we like.

So, any suggestions?

Another site you could use that usually has full seasons:

http://www.free-tv-video-online.info/internet/

Its also good for movies. If its in theaters, its usually on there.

If the video is hosted on "megavideo", don't buy an account to get rid of the time limit, it doesn't work. What happens on megavideo is you watch 72 mins of video (so an episode and a half) and then you need to wait 50 mins (or so) before you can watch the last half. But they usually have a number of options for where the video is hosted, so its not a big deal.

As for shows to watch, I really enjoy NCIS, I'm not as into the new NCIS LA though.

Right now (so for the past week or so) I've been going through the first week of Criminal Minds. I'd never really seen it, then watched a few episodes over the christmas break with my relatives and liked it.

Hey Damalis,

We are looking to purchase a house in the rural area too. What sort of internet connection do you use (and how does it fair with online gaming [if you or your hubby do online gaming[)??

As for TV shows, I am slowing getting into NCIS and will watch a little Bones every now and then. I've only used Hulu to catch up on the "V" episodes (there's like 4 of them total) and Family Guy. I also caught an original Prisoner Episode and an old Magnum PI episode (yeah, I am that old) and a couple of episodes of the Macross Saga of Robotech.

I'll probably use it to catch up on Caprica and Stargate Universe (if/when it comes back).

Most stuff I watch is drama though (I'll catch the occassional Law & Order SVU/CI or CSI-Miami). I've heard Big Bang Theory is good (I think it's a comedy) but I've never seen it.

If you like quirky comedy/drama, I would recommend Ed. It's never been put on DVD and I do not think it is on Hulu but I did like the show. West Wing was also a winner for me but it got more dramatic towards the end of the show (but I thought it had a nice mix of humor in there). I don't think it's on hulu tho.

I also liked Dead Like Me. It was an interesting concept but it only lasted 2-3 seasons.

With hulu, I just kind of browse around seeing what catches my interest at the time.

Om, we get our phone and high speed sattelite internet through AT&T. Although I don't know why they call it sattelite, it's run through your phone line. Bundled together it costs us roughly 65 a month and I've noticed no change in speed from when we switched from Time Warner high speed to this. I know I can play Maple online just fine with this, but that's the only online game I play, so you can check the requirements for that and see if it matches whatever you play.

Like, right now, Archie is on the wireless laptop doing his facebook and downloading some Firefox things while on the desktop I've got AOL open and am playing Jackie Chan cartoon episodes on here all at the same time with no problems. The only problem we've had is our wireless router shuts itself off if it doesn't sense any activity and that's not a problem with the service, just the fact that we kinda did something strange during set up.

I do like Big Bang theory but so far I can only find clips of it online. Everyone thinks we named our parakeet after Sheldon on that show but we actually took it from an old cartoon with a little chicken egg in it that refused to leave it's shell... so Shelldon.

NCIS is one of my obsessions. I watch reruns and everything. But I don't like the LA version. It's Gibbs I like :) he makes me think of my Archie alot, except Archie has a better, and more evident, sense of humor. Hmm, really, if you take McGee, Tony, Ducky and Gibbs then roll them into one, you have Archie... which is rather a scary concept now that I realize that...

I used to watch Stargate Universe on Hulu, but they took down all the full episodes last I checked and I did miss a couple at the end of the season. Which really sucks. I had planned to catch up via Hulu.

- Lie to me
- Smallville (for something different, even if a little campy)

If you like a combination of laughs and drama, watch Castle. Nathan Fillion's character is amazing and, while it's basically a buddy-cop show, the writers keep it interesting and exciting. The episodes are fairly stand-alone, although there's gradual process on the novel that Fillion's character is writing and a periodic investigation into the murder of the mother of the detective that Fillion is shadowing. Regardless, each episode is great to enjoy on its own.
