Okay, so I was away. Long story short, getting home involved a 9 hour flight from London to Vancouver, and on this bloody long flight I was able to watch three movies.
Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire
You know, for being the supposed "best" one yet, this movie was pretty shitty. For a minute I thought I was watching "Harry Potter and the Amazing Scissors", because I swear to God a lot more shit happened than I saw...
And then, after cutting half the book or so, they decide hey, let's throw in some shit that was never there to begin with! Call me a cynic, but there's something not quite right about that.
That said, decent movie. The Dragon was gay, Fleur was a pansy, and Voldemort was not nearly what I was expecting... not to mention the frantic pace made any development of character tough.
Oh, and Dumbledore sucked.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I highly recomend it. Nothing else to say - rent it, watch it, laugh.
Interview with the Vampire
I think this is one of those movies that you watch and go "Um... WTF?". But your still glad you watched it because now you can be all pseudo-intellectual and discuss the "deeper meanings" and other related bullshit. Am I right?
Weird as all hell, but pretty cool. Oh, and the pararells between vampires and I dunno, let's say Buddhists in this day and age is very accurate. See? I'm an intellectual now.
In closing, go watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. And if you have time, IwtV.
