LG POS

So my friend just got a new Chocolate by LG, one of those fandango phones that looks like the bastard child of a cell-phone and an i-pod. Here's the thing; the device has a fairly large media storage capacity but we are unable to discern how one uploads music and media to one of these units.

He has all the accesories, including a USB removable storage device with a slot for something that he has and looks a lot like a sim card. We can easily manage to get the media onto the removable device but we cannot manage to get the data from the device onto the cell-phone. There appear to be no hardwires which would facilitate computer-to-phone xfer which leads me to believe that it transmits the data on a wireless network from the removable device in tandem with the SIM card looking thing. Dunno how though.

Any help?

Bluetooth, maybe? There is also the distinct possability that Verizion won't let you upload your own music, opting instead for forcing you to fill it with songs purchased over their network. Pay them for the song, pay them to transfer it to the phone, double-whammy money overload.

It's not Verizon. It's Telus.

I'm guessing you have to buy it from them. I just got a Telus LG8100, with Bluetooth.

But guess what? The fucking Telus software engineers disabled bluetooth data transfer. It's easily hacked, but to hack it, you need to buy the USB cable.

Which totally defeats the purpose of having Bluetooth and hacking it in the first place. So I bought a miniSD card, 'cause I can use it to store MP3s and whatnot...

But the fuckers ALSO deactivated the function wherein I can use my own MP3s as ringtones.

I mean, seriously?

Don't make Beff douse you, Wilkar... he uses natural fire retardant from his personal fire extinguisher.

Drayson; I just discovered the same.

Assfuckery!

Glad I kept my v3. But thank you. Telus, as you well know, sucks the big fat cock... with teeth.

And Wilkar, he's right.

~Ahh, the relief.

'dont call it a phone. dont call us a phone company.'

I mean seriously. This thing can download music, videos, go internet, has a flash light, a gps navigational system... oh and its a phone.

Wilkar is reminding me of Gash. I'm frightened.
