Such nerdy anger, *snicker*

Ironic, considering they cut out the Scourging of the Shire.

Maybe they thought the raping and pillaging of lots of midgets halfway through the film wouldn't be the best thing to see.

Funny as hell mind, but probably best not to.

Oh and King Kong wasn't bad at all, King Kong himself was impressively animated, but I have to admit after they left the island I kinda lost interest.

3 hours though?...sheesh.

Hey does anyone else think that the mood of the film changed drastically the moment they discovered the tribe on the island? Talk about seeing things take a violent turn, lol

One minute everything and everyone's bobbing along nicely the next, people's head's are being smashed in.

For a moment I thought it was going to turn into another Bad Taste, (which IMO wouldn't have been a bad thing, lol)

:P

the ship captain pissed me off. no character development. one minute, "i dont car if they go", next minute he saves their lives. one minute, "you have 24 hours, then we leave" next hes saving them AGAIN.

Peter Jackson is too busy focusing on whats in his head, rather than what he actually puts out on film.

What is in his head, anyway? King Kong was ok, but, like you've said, too long.

i liked the whole Ape Graveyard in the movie as well as how it showed why the ape loved Anne. in the first King Kong movies it never showed. the bad parts were... how did he get ahold of that map? the captain coming in every two seconds to save the day? jack black? come on.

Eye Candy. Not much else.

I liked watching the ape slap his bitch around, that was good.

It lacked in a number of areas, it was ripe with plot gaps (not holes) and lacking in true character development (in any of the supporting roles). And way too long.

Given the length of the film, I would have liked to have seen an explanation behind the islands flora and fauna; particularly as it relates to the great-ape (why do only see one? why are there so many bones?)

In fact; the whole thing could have stuck to the island IMO. Fuck a tried-and-true remake.
