It's the monoxide that really scares them. Sounds like something that should be coming out of a smokestack.

Indeed, often it does in the form of a gas. But alas, the man has a point, for this dihydrogen monoxide is indeed dangerous! Oh yes, my brethren, it is! Think on it for a moment, if you were to find yourself surrounded by this "water" you might gasp and try to breath but would indeed suffer for your instinct for your lungs would fill with this vile toxin and soon you would be dead!

Beaware dihydrogen oxide, oh yes, beware! There are even times that it falls from the sky onto the earth, washing away homes, farms, and villages. People too are whisked away by this dangerous chemical - know you of another item on the agenda that poses such a peril???

I think not!

We can win this war of attrition against the environment if we try hard enough!

Don't forget that dihydrogen monoxide can actually rust away entire metal structures composed of iron. Quite dangerous if you happen to be in, on or around them at the time.

None of which qualifies it as a drug.

Save for, perhaps, it's addictive properties. Such as; to live - drink water.

If you're stupid enough to be in a metal structure long enough for it to rust away without you noticing, you deserve to be crushed.
