So, was that the first try england has scored in about 5 years?
*damns Jonny Wilkinson to the deepest recesses of hell*
I was at the game and it was pretty damn boring... All that bullshit kicking kinda ruined it for me, no real spirit in the game.
It was close, granted, and i didn't expect the extra time to happen. Everyone in the stadium was booing whenever we saw Jonny set up for his dropkicks. Even worse was that we had to stoop to that level to maintain a close scoreline.
Still, France 07 is going to be an entirely different ballgame. Most of the English team is probably going to retire within the year, and the All Blacks should have done better...
Actually, England Scored 36 tries this year alone...
...and really there weren't many dropkicks , but there were plenty more attempts at Tries, in fact England narrowly avoided getting two more.. (Kudos to Auzzie team).
As for stooping down (eh?) , really, I think the truth is Australia just couldn't get anymore Tries than England could, which just goes to show, that the teams were very evenly matched.
As for Johnny, he hardly got a look in, and to pin the entire game on him is wrong, (last minute dropkick acknowledged, of course), since it was the whole team that did the work, not just one man.
Though, for the record... I love him...lol
Besides, Australia played well, I couldn't believe it when you guys equalized in the final minute!
JOHNNY, JOHNNY WILKINSON YOU DROPPED GOALED FOR ENGLAND!
YEAHHHHHHHH, something we have won since 1966.Johnny Wilkinson is a god and so it Martin Johnnson and little Jason Roberts.
Me and my older brother were watching it and we got pissed off with the referee when he gave them a penalty right at the end of normal time.We shouted at the my widescreen saying "@#%$ off you stupid twat no bloody way" and then they scored. Then England scored again and then the referee gave yet another penalty and me and my brother went "for @#%$ sake" and then i said " any money Johnny will create space and drop goal it and then it took 10 seconds for him to get it and he booted it out of his hands and over the goal me and my brother just shouted "YEAAAHHHHH!!!!!and started to celebrate because we knew we beat the Aussies.
Well done Johnny and team, we salute you "sweet chariots!"
