Does TRF by any chance have an IRC channel? Seems like a decent idea, unless there's already some reason I'm not aware of that we don't have one. I'm not sure how many active members we have, but there's always alot of guests browsing the forum, and it would at least give them a chance to introduce themselves if they're prospective members.

I too think its a good idea. It would also help with intra-communication as well because it doesn't require any additional user software, or at least the versions I've used.

We've not had anything since we moved off of ezboard. Might be a good idea to have someone with an always-on computer and 'net connection to fire up an AIM chatroom or somesuch, and we could advertise it.

I've never really thought there was much need or demand for an IRC chanel, but I'm sure we could get something going if there's interest.

Ummm. Sure.

How long tho until stuff that has been kept off the board because of this very thing gets all over it?

I have IRC but I never use it.

I've also suggested Skype for voice chat but never really got any response from that.

Well who would be willing to create, or host, or whatever you call it? I'm not very IRC savvy.

An IRC chat for TRF seems like something of a useless idea.
