US of A here and I work at a desk job so it's not bloodly likely I will need to tote a gun about (would they want a profession that's 'authorized' to go postal to have a gun? Didn't think so. :P). I'm not going even close to Iraq though (thank gods)...was as close to that place I ever wanted to be last winter to summer....

The biggest Canadian Military or Navy of I know of was, like post WW2, when they technically owned some 500 Destroyer Escorts, since they built at least that many.

As far as American is concerned, Canada is like a backup source of Timber, and other resources.
