CDROM - $15 or less
Hard Drive Reformat - two hours
Knowing that you still have a piece of junk after all that work, priceless.

I have an old mac lying around gathering dust.

Lucky ,now that I think about it, that I noticed a recent article in a Macformat mag of how to strip down and upgrade your mac to make it near-top-of-the-line again . . .

Oh speaking of Macs, there was this article in the newspaper on the way to school about the most powerfullest computer in the world. It was an Apple Mac but at high range and could really contain alot of information within the hardrive.

Macs are good, there's just a totally crap array of software available for them.

Give them another three decades and I'm sure Apple will catch up.

Most Powerfullest?

The G5 is pretty gutsy, yes, but it's nowhere near the most powerful computer in the world, nor is it the most powerful desktop computer available for sale, etc. In fact, Apple's add campaign in which they claim to be the seller of the most powerful desktop computer was banned in England (or was it the EU) because it is false...

Actually Kas, i seem to recall something about that.

I may save up for a G5.

Mind you, with the introduction of that thing, the G4s, which are all still pretty sweet, might drop down in price by a chunk.

You still have the problem of it being terribly over priced, as well as the lack of software.

You could get a much beefier Windows system and a sweet sound system for the amount of money you would sink into a G5.
