From what I understand if you're gonna be doing a lot of decoding and encoding and other stuff then Pentium is the way to go. A64 is definitely better for gaming, but when it comes down to raw number crunching ability Pentium is nasty.

Personally I doubt I'll be spending the money to put one together. This one I have now is quite fine for the games I do, but if I did spend a little money and put another computer together I'd do Asus A8V Deluxe or MSI Neo2 Platinum with a 3200+ Winchester then buy another case and power supply and put this stuff into it. For right now I'm considering either leaving everything, buying the stuff, or finding another hard drive like this one and run a raid configuration. I'm thinking I might wait until there are some more nForce 4 boards out and the bugs are worked out, the prices are down, etc. and building a nice system with SLI.
