Yeah, I know it's a lil older now...

I just picked up the files and I'm pretty impressed with the gameplay thus far.

Any comments or suggestions? I am looking for a pretty detailed walk-thru if anyone knows of any.

Well, I don't have a walk through but I played through and beat the game and can say that is was indeed pretty dang good. Even by today's standards.

If you're hung up, ask me a question and I'll try to reach into my memory and give you an answer.

I've read about it several times and thought about getting it but never have. I probably will soon even though it's a few years old.

Edit: Speaking of OLD games, I just got Grim Fandango last week and started playing it. I've always heard good things about this one, and it's pretty fun so far.

Thanks, Hyfe. I'll add that to my list.

I'm not hung up just yet Itar, but I can imagine that I may end up being a bit mired in stuff soon. I think, though I'm not sure, that I've taken the more difficult path.

Actually... do you have any tips for discovering/locating the Hidden Wrecks?

I've played a lot of Freelancer (never found the wrecks) but my opinion of it was that Space was terrifyingly huge in it. I just had the constant feeling and fear that I was going to suddenly end up in the middle of infinity and die. It was weird, a very authentic feeling.

Indeed. That very aspect is what most appeals to me. I set myself to cruise last evening, and just sat back while my ship shot silently (heh) through the void. An hour later, I crashed into a White Dwarf.

Searching for the wrecks really works to show the player just how small he/she is in this vast Free Space universe.

Ever heard of a game called Eve Online?

I'm curious, but my current browser is too limited to get a proper explanation of the thing.

I haven't really played much of Freelancer, but what I did play was awesome. Been trying to find it in NZ games stores, but i've only looked in one so far.

I've heard of Eve before and seen a friend of mine play it: it's freaking huge! (as in the 'world' you get play in. Dozens upon dozens of systems you can go play around in)
