Ok, now I know that there are a whole heap of gamers on this board, and - as has been demonstrated in several Half Life and Starcraft-themed threads - many of you seem to rather enjoy taking screen captures. Which is great for virtual penis measuring and all, but those print screen skills can also be put to good use in other endeavours. Like shooting someone's name on a wall in a wonderfully high-res, non-crappy-1998-graphics style game, then shrinking the image to 150x150 pixels and posting it on an internet message board for said someone to use as their avatar.
Y'know, stuff like that.
Or possibly doing it with peons in WCIII (which is rather fun)... Y'get the picture.
Yay! People actually replied to my post! *warm, fuzzy feeling*
I like both equally. Hmm, dilemma...
Well, I'll leave it a bit longer and see if anyone else wants to try their hand at it. Of course if Hyfe enters I'll be contractually obliged to name him the winner...damn that trip to vegas...
Mk well I made 2 of them and took a bunch of screen shots but they are all saved as .tga files (wtf is that?) and I can't open them with any program that I know of. I only got one saved as a jpg.
The other one is made of archers, and then I just took a few shots of a whole bunch of archers shooting eachother and all of those wisps going kamikaze against a creep camp.
arg, there's so many. And they're all so...artistic. Hmm. Well, I could judge this properly, weighing the positives and negatives of each image (like resolution, picture quality, imaginativity, the "x-factor", formation of bullets/archons etc) but...no. just no.
I think I'm gonna go with Zark's 'cause I forgot to wish him happy birthday. Yay for Zark! You can copy 'n' paste that cookie wherever you like, although I changed all the numbers around.
I'll get around to replacing my avatar just as soon as I resize/crappify Zark's one. damn you, file too big...
Hmm, also made a sig out of all the others, but can't figure out how to upload it. *adds to to-do list*
