putting them behind glass isn't done because moisture will gather behind it and destroy the canvas, it's much better to leave them to the open air... especially the old oil paintings..
and I guess they dont' really try to get around that because they don't think anyone is stupid enough to do something like that to any item in a museum... because their assuming most people coming there have respect for those items...

I refuse to be bound by a history not my own. In the conventions of the modern-malcontent I applaude the boy and his defacto gum anarchy!
In all honesty; kids shouldn't be allowed into such places before meeting my proposed requirment. Don't hide the paintings behind glass... put the people-spawn behind glass.

And people wonder why little kid shouldn't be allowed in Casino's here in Vegas... man.. if that was my kid he wouldn't even see the light of DAY
Where were his parents anyway? Don't they teach there kids not to do these types of things, like also tell what a TRASH CAN looks like? Grrrrrrrrr... I remember back in grade school when we had field trips to these types of place's that the first thing they told us, but then again, they also told us NO CHEWING GUM..... errr

I am afraid of this new generation spawning. They have less respect than the 'rap' generation.
We're all fucked.
