SWFans is big. By which I mean it's massive - to much so for my tastes.

That's suprisingly not that impressive. The 250 active members isn't bad... but I've seen boards that are bigger.

In fact, I'm perusing one ATM...

You're generally talking about ubergay forums for things like Quake 3, etc.

This is a role-playing board. The characters earn money by posting, and then they buy crap with that money.

Basically, they encourage spamming all over the place.

Hmm, that's pretty doggon big. I frequent a game development forum that is quite a mover as well.
