I tried to look into Second Life once but you have to enter credit card info just to get a 'free' preview.

Dont need one anymore, you can go free and it wont ask for credit info... you'll just show as 'no payment info used' in SL and people will assume your an alt of another person, that or a man.

A friend of a friend, his mother plays the game. She designs fashions, I'm told, sufficent to generate a monthly income of $2000 USD.

Second Life, like so many other MMO's, has real money generating opportunities. Sadly, I know nothing about the game play.

lol, I used to run a sim sized drive in movie theater, 11 screens playing actual current releases...

Now I sell music... neither business earns/ed me much lindens, let alone enough to convert to real salary
