All in all Doomsday was a great two parter... :( very sad ending, especially considering no more Mum or Mickey anymore as well...

Doctor Who is one of my favorite Sci-Fi series, both the new and older serials.

I love the creative way they can allow for different actors to play the doctor to mesh seamlessly into the continuity.

And com'on, who doesn't like the Daleks?

EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!!!!!

I prefer the Cybermen, and was disappointed in their not being able to stand up to the Daleks. I guess that makes sense though, Daleks fought a race of Timelords, Cybermen can barely handle one...

I too have a soft spot for the Doctor, ( I used to watch the original series(s) on TV as a kid) but alas I find the new series , with a few exceptions, generally really disppointing.

What I liked about Doctor Who was the fact it was an intelligent (old & bad TV special effects aside) , well written, and quite dark series.

Personally I think in an effort to capture a more mainstream audience, they've dumbed it down a lot, to the point were its become a bad TV soap opera.

They've made it far too...light-entertainment...

I want the dark stuff, the stuff that made me hide behind the sofa as a child.

Seeing the Daleks make a come-back was a plus in my opinion though.

Me and Archie were watching Doctor Who on SciFi when it came out but we decided we didn't like the newest actor playing Who. I liked the guy the show debuted on SciFi with. Although we both think Rose is cute as hell... too bad she's leaving the show.

lol, Seth, I don't think the new series has played out any original ideas yet. Thus far its like the writers have been proving they watched the original by making references in every episode.
