Clinton Vs Obama

What did you think?

Me, I wasn't all that impressed. Granted my expectations were low but it seemed to me that Hilary and Barack spent most of their time reiterating the same tripe that has exemplified each of their campaigns. It seemed to me a typical horse-and-pony show designed to keep as much media on the Democratic potentials and off of their Republican equivalents. There was, in my opinion, too much fluff and not nearly enough substance. In example; should anyone really care how Hilary plans to "control" Bill and with issues of international and economic importance looming why are these wannabe Presidents considering matters of "sex and violence" coming out of Hollywood? Even those few questions of relative relevance were to me contrived and purposefully misleading.

Should I have expected more? Probably not. After all, it's just part of the parade... it's Democratic pomp designed not to inform or edify but simply to entertain. Such seems the way of politics, more and more, the older and grow and the more I come to know.

I think you hit the nail right on the head, Beff. This was truly a disappointing debate that swayed from truly important matters.

Neither Obama or Clinton are ready for presidential office. The only reason anyone is even paying attention is because they look different than the normal candidates. Neither one of them sticks to anything important. They are populists and whatever is on the table directly in front of them they pay attention to, rather than what really matters.

I would rather see Madame Clinton than that Obama character.

But, within the realm of seriousness, I would cast my lot for Madame Clinton.
