Wifey and I were just out shopping at the local supermarket , and just got told to leave and go home, lol

The shop (Tescos) is open 24 hours so we were a bit confused, I ask why and get told by the staff that they had intelligence that rioters were on their way!

The riots started in Brixton and as I type this now they are spreading across the capital.

They have been going on for 3 days now, I thought it had fizzled out but apparently not, seems to be spreading further and getting worse.

So, sitting tight and hoping things will pass us by

(with my trusty baseball bat to hand, lol)

Its like being under siege. o_O

No, but with the crumbling markets? Things are going to get tricky.

Yeah, the original spark came from an incident where someone called Mark Duggan was shot and killed by the police (turned out he was unarmed) - Started as a protest in the Brixton / Tottenham Hale area , and turned into something else entirely.

Namely mindless looting and pillaging.

This is, unfortunately, a sign of things to come, there is an overwhelming feeling of frustration and I guess its turning into anger.

I have to work in and around Ealing so, I'm a bit wary of heading down there (work nightshifts), but it appears to have calmed down a bit for now.

Seems like Blackberry and Twitter were how the rioters were organizing themselves.

I originally misread the topics and thought that there was some sort of insanity in the League Of Nations.

Thank god they're still stable.
