I got a very similar one of those once last year!!!!

That HD is in the garbage, though it ended up there for an unrelated incident.....

well, it's a virus.. it's renaming things a little at a time, but after a partial restore, we were able to get inside and write things to disk so all the important things are taken care of... we're just going to do a complete format tonight and take it all off...

oh did I mention one of the first things that the files were renamed by this thing was the virus scanner? sucks...
