Thats right, folks! My house has now been added to the list of others here in Shawano, WI that have been broken into, burglarized, vandalized. To the point where my front door and even the dorrknob/lock needs replacing.
Nothing was taken as far as I could see, so they must have been casing our place after seeing all the new stuff weve been bringing in lately.
Ken & EJ went to doc for appts, and me & Mags went with cuz & her daughter to the bus station so they could get home. Happened while we were gone. I got home first with Mags, and Ken came in 5 mins after me with EJ.
To all those I RP with, all threads will have to be put on hold until I get everything back the way it was.
I am sorry for holding things up, but this is a serious RL problem.
See you all in a day or 2.

Yipe! I hope nothing was stolen and the damage isn't too expensive to repair.
I remember about two years ago when my car was broken into...fortunately my car has so much junk in it that they couldn't 'find' anything to steal (not that I have anything that would be worth stealing anyway...I don't even have a CD player in the thing).
Still, it was a frightening experience...and not something you like to see when you go out to leave for work...

Thanks guys! I hope they dont come back either. Gonna see about getting a dead bolt while were at it.
We wont have to pay for it, at least I dont think. I live in an apartment building that has 8 apartments in it, and mine is #2 and in the back of the hallway.
The outer door is always locked, and cant be unlocked unless from the outside. But sometimes we have to slam that outside door pretty hard just to close it, and if its not slammed hard enough, it swings open.
If it was someone outside the building, the outer door might have been left open. If it was someone inside the builing, they better not pray we find that out.
The outer door was closed. I had to use my key to get in, so I never knew anything was wrong until I saw the crack in my door beside the doorknob when I went to unlock it.
I pushed it open and the inside part of the latch fell out, and a BUNCH of cracks where the latch was, so the door needs replacing along with the lock.
The place was trashed, but still didnt find anything stolen. I had a buch of expensive rings that Ken gave me over the years in a small jewelry box in the bedroom. They didnt go in there, because the cats would have gotten out if they had, so my rings and stuff are still there.
We have an idea that if was done from inside the building, that maybe this was a warning, or a sign. A warning from the people above us because Ive complained to landlord about them bouncing 24/7. A sign that maybe someone wants us to move out.
Either way, deadbolt and chain from now on.
