A confusing ship, to say the least. But at last some background history has come into play with this ship. Apparently she was designed and built by Techno-Union engineers blockaded on a Separatist planet, from which a fleet of Bulwarks emerged and broke the blockade. The timing of this was later in the Clone Wars BTW. A fleet of newly comissioned Victory class Star Destroyers was split into two and went out and engaged the Bulwark fleet in a pincer movement battle. General Jan Dodonna led one of these fleets, while Screed led the other one. Screed was injured when his flagship was badly damaged, but the enemy fleet was defeated. Several surviving Bulwarks were salvaged by the Rebellion after the end of the Clone Wars and served against the Empire up to about the time of Endor.

Description: Dauntless cruisers apparently were, like so many other ships, converted from passenger liners into frontline warships. The liners already had strong hulls to resist pirate attacks, so their shields were ramped up, and weaponry was added to make these ships very worthy frontline combat warships. The Dauntless cruisers were the second most massive warships in the early days of the Rebellion, being outsized only in mass by the Bulwark battlecruisers.

Description: The Sorosuub Liberator class cruiser is one of the most advanced warships avialable to the Rebellion during it's early years. New leaps in technology concering drive units, hull armour, and shielding all combined meant that the Liberator had the power of a typical clone wars kilometer long capital ship shrunk into a dimensions package half of that size. The ship's main role is of a carrier, and houses a spacious hangar bay in which is carried a full wing of six squadrons of starfighters. In addition to this, the ship's weaponry is also formidable, mounting enough heavy turbolaser batteries to deter anything short of an Imperial medium cruiser or dreadnought to try and take it head on.

Description: The CC-9600 is the latest in a series of improving designs from the Corellian Engineering Corporation. The CC-Frigate series is a big step for the Corellians, moving up from the smaller series of gunships, corvettes, and stock freighters and into the smaller capital ship market. The 9600 is a full sized combat frigate, dual roled to take on both enemy capital ships and starfighters with it's wide array of potent armament. The ship embarks no starfighter squadrons, although a limited troop capacity is present.

Description: The CC-7700 Frigate is a rare example of an alliance interdiction frigate, rarely used since the alliance mainly used hit and fade strikes, and more often than not fled instead of trapping and destroying newly arrived Imperial forces. A few possible exceptions may of been the Ram's head mission or some of the battles involving Operation: Strike Fear. The Frigate is the second in a line of Corellian frigates, new models built in addition to the gunships and corvettes of the manufacturing company. The frigate was well used by both the Rebellion and the later New Republic, espically during the waning days of the Empire, when trapping elements of the fragmented Imperial fleet to eliminate it became top priority. A well documented case occured when General Bel Iblis used a pair of CC-7700 Frigates to trap a portion of Admiral Daala's fleet during the last grand Imperial offensive. The ploy failed as a fanatically loyal Imperial frigate captian rammed his frigate into one of the CC-7700s, destroying it, but the frigate has had a good line of service to the Rebellion and New Republic. These ships were phased out of service as larger numbers of 418s and the new Mothma class destroyers were comissioned into the NR's navy.

Description: The CC-5500 Frigate is the Corellian yards answer to the advent of the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate in terms of competition. The escort frigate, like other Corellian ships, is easly modified, and was designed to be a much cheaper version of the frigate, able to engage starfighters and small capital warships, but being much easier in construction, less easily destroyed without the vulnerable neck, and eliminating the starfighter bays. The more potent armament and starfighter capacity of the Nebulon made it the more favoured choice, and as a result, very few of these frigates saw service in the Alliance and New Republic, with the surviving examples sold to the Corporate Sector as the new class of vessels were comissioned.
