Yes, the VH1 special was entertaining, though I saw it the next day in the afternoon while nursing a hangover....

I wouldn't envision the NJO Princess Leia to look like Carrie either. Mostly because Princess Leia never had problems with drug and alcohol abuse.....

That definitely changes a few things.

And I always thought Mark was ugly.... and whiny.... so whatever

1. The Rebels were always supposed to be attacking the Death Star in Episode IV's climactic battle scene. But the concept of the battle station simultaneously being en route to blow up Yavin's fourth moon came in the editing room. ''That made all the difference in the world in terms of ratcheting up the drama,'' says George Lucas.

2. Carrie Fisher only got the role of Leia ''with the proviso that I went to a fat farm and that I lose 10 pounds.''

3. According to Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner, Hamill ''almost got killed'' in the Hoth recuperation-tank scene. Just before he hopped in, a light over the open tank cracked and huge pieces of glass ''came tearing down into the water.'' Oops.

4. ''Billy Dee had a lot of trouble remembering his lines,'' says Fisher of the actor behind Lando Calrissian. Maybe he was too busy making sure his charm hyperdrive was fixed by the techs in Cloud City.

5. The trilogy’s most famous line -- ''I am your father'' -- was never actually delivered by the man behind Vader’s mask, David Prowse. On the set, he told Luke that ''Obi-Wan killed your father.'' To maintain secrecy, the only people who knew the real line to be dubbed in later were Empire’s producers, Kershner, and Hamill, who was informed just moments before cameras rolled on his close-up.

6. Kershner says Hamill was scared to film the Empire scene in which he sticks his hand into the X-wing and pulls out a snake. For good reason: In one take, he appears to get bitten.

7. Lucas almost added in a shot of Boba Fett surviving the Sarlacc in Jedi. ''Had I known he was going to turn into such a popular character, I probably would have made [his death] more exciting.''

8. When Fisher strangled Jabba the Hutt, she also accidentally injured a crew member inside Jabba with her high heels. ''It went right into his head,'' says Jedi's creature designer Stuart Freeborn.

9. The role of Jedi's principal Ewok, Wicket, was filled by 11-year-old Warwick Davis only after Kenny Baker (R2-D2) got food poisoning and had to bow out. It was the first of many times Ewoks and nausea would be associated.

10. Harrison Ford pleaded with Lucas to kill off Han Solo in Jedi. ''I thought he ought to sacrifice himself for the other two characters,'' says Ford. Why not sacrifice some Ewoks?

That's some cool stuff.

When you watch them again, you've gotta admit those are some great movies.
