My latest KOTOR savegames won't load! I have three save games within the 3hr 10 - 35 minute time frame, and the two latest freeze up when loading. I just left my xbox off for about two hours, and will try again momentarily.

The first time it happened I just powered down, powered up, and it loaded fine. This last time I powered down repeatedly, and it would still continue to hang. I know I'm not very far into the game, but it's always so annoying to retread ground in an RPG.

KOTOR 1 had a few bugs similar to this, but none of them froze. Hmm...Interesting... Is it because your hard drive is full? I suggest you check that out and try deleting one file. Maybe its from overload? I'm not an expert, but I'm not going to take crap like that. :)

I stopped using my X-box when it kept crashing when 'zoning' to different areas on the first game (and only game) I got for it. I ended up needing to get in the habit of saving just before zoning so I beat the damn game. I haven't played on the X-box since...

The hardest part of playing KOTOR II is the fact that it (at least on my Xbox) crashes CONSTANTLY. Getting it to work without crashing is like trying to get a woman to sleep with you -- meaning it's full of subtlties that I'm not very good at. There are about 30 little things I know I can't do without crashing it, and I can generally never play for more than 30 minutes without triggering a crash.

I probably would be done the game if it would stop crashing.

My hard drive is far from full, it still says I have 50,000 blocks free, just like when I first got it, even though I have a bunch of saved games and one CD ripped to it.

I generally don't mind replaying parts of games if a saved game is corrupted, but man, KOTOR has a lot of dialog that I don't want to read or hear again. And sometimes the A button doesn't skip it right away.

Ok. How do I get past the Rancor? I just ran by him (while he killed my party members), killed the two guards, and then my other two party members came back to life out of the floor with zero health. What the heck?

Your party members must have been freaking loyal, Kas. I can imagine how the planning went.

'Okay, heres what we do. You two run in front of the rancor and jump up and down a bit, oh and yell some too to make yourselves extra visible. Meanwhile, I'll sneak past him and get to safety. Then, while the rancor is chewing up your mangled bodies I'll dispatch the two Vulkar guards, and by the time I'm safely in the elevator the rancor will just be finishing up with the leftovers of your corpses when he notices I've been through, maybe even not at all. Its a sacrifice, but a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Okay, go!'

Heh. It was really weird when they rose from the floor (and not where their bodies had been either!). Anyway, the Rancor required trickery, not brute force.
