I typically go to the library once a month and rent a dozen books or so. Living so far away from the library, and gas prices being what they are I can't afford to go in more often.
Well, for the last two months I've been trying to get my hands on a copy of Fahrenheit 451. Twice in a row all seven copies have been out. >_<
It's harder to get a copy of this book than it is to get my hands on the latest Robert Jordan novel!
Does your library have a waiting list? My dad puts himself on a waiting list for books that are rather popular and when one is finally available they call him and hold it for him to check out.
Though it could be the assholes that checked them out decided to 'keep' them, which if this is the case...use of deadly force would be authorized ;)
Yeah. Considering that it costs almost $10 to get to the library and back home, I can't afford to just run in and get a book, I have to combine things. Library, Wal-Mart, catch a movie, all at once.
Usually books come back monday. 2 days for interbranch transfers leaves me going to get the book on friday, which is an ideal day for whatever I want to do...
