In terms of Star Wars Role Playing such as it is on this board, shitty anime such as dragonball Z and inyuyasha have caused the degradation of storylines and the suffering of many serious RPers since even before my time. Little kiddies would run around the forums with their lightsabers and SUPER SAIYA JIN 1,000,000,000 GOSU powers, and attempt to pwn everything.


As a result anime earned my deepest hatred and loathing, and I hate it when it is brought up on Star Wars RP boards.

I don't know why, maybe it's because of Kagome, but I am a die-hard Inuyasha fan right now. Although I hate Inuyasha himself. I'm more of a Kagome/Sesshomaru pairing fan myself, as my fanfic reveals.

Good anime would be things like Akira, Rurouni Kenshin, Grave of the Fireflies, Ghost in the Shell, Yu Yu Hakusho and Record of Lodoss War.

The highlighted ones being my favorite. Don't forget about Escaflowne, Ranma 1/2, Lupin the 3rd, Bubblegum crisis, Tenjo Tenge, Samurai Champloo, and others whom I can't remember the names of.

The only anime I appreciate is Ghost In The Shell; this is because it is well-made, well written, the animation is excellent, and quite honestly it is one of the few that hasn't become a wasteless girlie screaming/pantie related cartoon for young boys (generally). I appreciate the scope of the GitS movie, as well as the Stand Alone Complex series, but honestly... everything else is utter crap.

Rurouni Kenshin was the only anime i watched for a longer than one show, but i've rarely paid attention or tried to watch, but i can draw it actually pretty decent atleast for me.

I own a bit like Record of Lodoss War, Harlock Saga, 8th MS Team, and Gundam Wing... I need to buy Blue Submarine 6, Hellsing, and Samurai X though

Watched the movie Deep Blue 6, own all 13 episodes of Hellsing, am waiting for manga number 8 or 9 to come out, and have seen Samurai X. Good movie.

Grave of the Fireflies is a movie everyone should see. It's not for little kids since it depicts the struggle two siblings have trying to survive in war torn Japan during WWII. Very touching movie. It's anime by grace of the style it's produced in and the studio that made it, but it's nothing like any of the other animes mentioned here.

I want more of the Gundam Shows but other than Gundam Wing, and 8th MS Team I dont know which are the good ones... G-Gundam was eh... S-Gundam Sucked never saw Seed. I was told the old ones were great but 0080 I believe it was or maybe 83 was so ... pansyish... there was no fighting at all really. Anyone wanna help me out?
