I actually went twice once with friends and once on my own and i thoguht it was jsut great, although there were a few wierd parts that ruined a few parts of the movie.

I couldn't agree more guys! Being a fan if history really made it exciting but you have to keep in mind this is based on a comic and not actual historical facts although there are several historical quotes and events. Either way, fantastic movie!!

Ya in reality i think they actually have something like a 1000 militia and such atleast accodring to our text book and the the persians numbers somwhere in the 20,000 not millions. But still a great movie. I had to explain what i knew about the battle of thermopoly to my friends before the movie

Another direct translation of a Frank Miller work. An excuse to watch 1.8 hours of all the cool kills from every sword-fighting movie, ever, all mashed into one. An excuse to watch ripped men kill one another. Whatever. A good view. Miller does the best revenge scenes.

I saw it this weekend also. Not the greatest movie ever, but certainly very bad ass and cool to look at. I'd see it again.
