I don't think that there's a non-special edition DVD...
At least, I haven't seen one.

Ceel; you can't have one as well as the other. Hollywood is an all-consuming force; once you Hollywood-ize a movie, all else is lost and it becomes an exercise in "MORE SPECIAL EFFECTS". The bastardization of the new Star Wars movies is more than proof of that.

Yes you can. Lord of the Rings (not a hollywood film) has pulled it off.
Secondly. Star Wars is not a hollywood film. George Lucas hates Hollywood. The studios edited American Graffiti against his wishes so he went independant, founded Lucasfilm, ILM, THX, Skywalker Sound ect and has full control over his product.

Whether it was made in Hollywood or not is irrelevant. It was made with the Hollywood mentality -- more = better.

Um. the Hollywood mentality is nowhere to be found in SW and LOTR. Infact neither trilogy would have ever seen the light of day if hollywood had its way.

No Hollywood influences in Star Wars.
Right. That's like saying Theren is a Republican Catholic Minister Playboy.
