Taking my leave

As the topic reads, I’m putting in for my RPing retirement. I’ve been doing this a long time, and I think I’ve had a good run.

However, following a long series of events, which have left me feeling less than creative or inspired, I have decided to bring an end to that run. I’m not certain how long this self-imposed leave will last, but for the foreseeable future I don’t believe I can write simply for the sake of enjoyment – and I tire of holding RPers up in stories I have no real intention of replying to, due to my inability to do so.

I would like to thank you, especially those I have known along time, for being supportive and enjoying the posting, but sadly I think it is time to go. Heck knows I have a lot to work out, and ultimately life comes to the fore when things are bad – and while that might be an understatement, I don’t think people need to hear the grisly details.

Will I return? Perhaps, it’s a very real possibility. I do enjoy the community, the friends, and the laughs; but for right now, I think it’s time to focus on what I need to, in order to get things back on track.

I appreciate your understanding, and while this might seem abrupt, all I can say is you will see me again – just not for a while. And as I don’t want to name names, I’ll simply say: You know who you are, and you know I care about you.

Thank you all, once again, and I’ll see you soon. Sadly, this is something I have to do…

I truly wish you the best and I thank you for all the kindness you have shown me along the way. I know your leaving will be felt by TRF as you were such a huge part of it. I hope things all turn out wonderful for you.

Good Luck :)

Hope everything works out for you, bub.

Aw nuts.

Sorry to hear you go, man, your contributions to the Battlegrounds and to TRF's histories are grand and memorable. Your work shall live on, and if you should ever choose to return, I'm sure you'll be welcomed with open arms. Best of luck with pursuits in Real Life, and I hope whatever has drawn you away from Roleplaying gets sorted out as soon as possible.

All the best, and best wishes.

Well, not much more to add since everyone has been very eloquent, so I guess it just falls to me to say; Auzzie! Auzzie! Auzzie! oi oi oi!

Take it easy Vance, you will be sorely missed.
