Force User Factions

The Centrality has what are known as "The Sorcerers of Tund" in their history, which comprises a great deal of the storyline I have planned for the Centrality. These Sorcerers were supposidly an ancient and mysterious brotherhood of magicians in the Tund system. My sources from theforce.net indicate that the Jedi Council of the Old Republic knew about these Sorcerers, and allowed them to continue there "dabblings" with the Force (indicating that they were force users, much like the Jedi and the Sith), provided that they did not push too far down the path of the Dark Side.

Since these Sorcerers are force users, and since my faction is not official (it's a part of the BDE now), would it be possible to allow characters desiring to play as one of these Sorcerers of Tund to have force powers, or would they have to already have them from another group first?

I am still a little lost on the rules pertaining to small non-jedi, non-sith force useage here, so if this is a dumb question, I apologize.

I would imagine they would have to do the same things Jedi and Sith do to get recognized "ranks" within their respective Orders. (ie: training, etc..)

I would assume the same as well.

yeah, would be kinda stupid for them to just whoop ass without having any real "background" to them.

I understand that they need a background and training, but who is going to train them?

What I was asking was, would it be allowed to have them as a part of the Centrality if they abided by the training rules?

I don't see why not. We had Dathomir witches and other types of Force users in the past.

As far as I know, this is fine within the rules, you just decide how you will attribute ranks within your own group. (as long as they follow the same structure there shouldn't be a problem).

I'm sure I remeber that somewhere in the rules, I'll go and check them to see if I can get you a quote.

Though, best to wait for a staffer to reply to your request directly , to make sure.

No.

You cannot have force users.

Force users are hereby outlawed. You can thank Dolash for that.

This is the relevant section I believe:

FORCE-USER RULES

These rules are pertinent to all who wish to play a character who is Force-sensitive in any way. Every Force user should review these rules to understand both their limits and their rights and privileges. The second section should be read by both Force users and fleet roleplayers.

JEDI, ROGUE JEDI, SHADOW JEDI, SITH, AND DARK JEDI KNIGHT REQUIREMENTS:

May be defined by the groups. However, it should be noted that the requirements for Knight in the group should resemble the following:

One month (minimum) in the galaxy.
A completed training thread, consisting of 60 or more posts.
One duel.
One or two roleplays.
RPing ability on the level of the other Knights in the galaxy.

These may be and should be adjusted based on your own disgression and the ethos of your group.

If it is found that your group has promoted multiple users to Knight (or equivalent rank) before they are up to Knight standard (both in RPing ability and experience), the staff may step in to serve as judges of a user's readiness or, in severe cases, revoke your ability to promote users.

Ranking Systems:
TRF uses a three-tier Force system. All of TRF uses a three-tier Force system.

Padawan Learner
Jedi Knight
Jedi Master

Making up special irrelevant ranks for yourself is fine, and making up your own ranking system to fill those three tiers, is fine. However, there is not going to be a ranking system that goes:

Sith Apprentice
Sith Knight
Sith Master
Sith Lord

If you want to say that Master is just a variation on Lord, that's okay. But we don't want people inventing these extra ranks to place themselves above those working on the standard three-tier system. If you wish, you can re-name the standard three ranks, like so...

Sith Cow,
Sith Monkey,
Sith Weiner Dog

You can even add ranks between the standard three-tier system to flesh it out.

Learner
Apprentice
Innate
Knight
Warrior
Lord
Master

However, the extra ranks are for show only. A Sith Lord using the scale above is not more powerful than a Jedi Knight if both characters have existed for the same amount of time. There is no rank above that of Master (though you can rename your Master rank). Once you have reached Master, there is no where to go. After that, the power of your character is judged by your role-play ability, the length of time your character has been in the TRF galaxy, and the strength of your character.
