*As the Graphics play out showing the logo for VNN, the screen quickly fades to Victor seated behind his desk...*

"..welcome to a VNN - special report, I'm Victor Barell...

...In a surprising turn of events, The conflict between The New Order, and The Rogue Empire, now appears to have taken a brief respite. The consequences of the failed assault, by The Tholatin Republic , upon the Imperial world of Fondor. Has seen the Tholatins having to give up control of their own homeworld under the banner of ID-Tech, with many Galactic Governmental sources allegedly alarmed at the Corporations increasingly aggressive tactics.

Also in a flurry of publicity , Emperor Fearsons himself, is still considered to be in critical, though, stable condition. With cries from his enemies, claiming this all to be some kind of act of publicity, in order to gain sympathy with the Galactic community. Which, in a recent indepedent poll, showed a general consensus of a hefty, ninety five percent against the building of another Death Star, named by The Rogue Empire, as <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Jilaeek Station<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->. All this comes, despite the Emperors best efforts to reassure the general public that the station was to be used for diplomatic purposes only.

It is understood that Viscount Del Forza , will be representing TRE and its government until the Emperor is fit enough to return to his role.

Reports are slowly coming in that <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Jilaeek Station<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> itself has been destroyed, with hundreds upon thousands of lives lost. Some experts claim the enviromental effects on Hoth and the nearby Ison corridor could have serious implications.

It is also understood , with the uneasy ceasation of hostilities, that talks are to be held between TNO and TRE , with concessions, from close inside sources reportedly claiming them to be the annexation of several TRE planets.

*Victor looks down to his data-pad..*

Another twist to the saga, this just in, The Rogue Empire has anounced it is to be changing its name, to..."

(Victor frowns a little as he scratches his head...)

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> ...The Jutraalian Empire...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
This along with the Newly renamed Empire's anouncement of freeing up supplies of Tibanna gas reserves, from both Bespin and Taloraan, is believed to be a diplomatic olive-branch to the Galactic community. Unfortunately, for the thousands of people who have already lost their lives in this conflict, it seems this may well be simply a matter of, too little too late.

*Victor, placing the data-pad upon his desk, continues...*

"...We go live now to outside the Brentaal Trade-hall, where Mr Vinda himself is reported to have arrived..."

*The feed mixes into an outside-broadcast, showing the exterior of the massive Hall , which is the seat of power upon Brentaal. Slowly making his way up the lengthy flight of steps towards it, surrounded by both the galactic press and various other officials, Vinda pushes his way through the crowd, only stopping when asked various questions....*

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Mr Vinda, Sir, have you heard that Jilaeek station has been destroyed?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"..yes, yes I have, and I would like to express my condolences to those families who have lost any loved ones who were onboard at the time, both Imperial, and civilian..."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Mr Vinda, many organisations have joined forces to perform the assault against TRE's Jilaeek station, including the New Republic, but Vinda-Corp, did not, why?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"...we are a neutral organisation, and a corporation, yes it is true we keep a sizable defense fleet, but that is exactly what it is for, defense. We do not attack anyone unless under extreme provication, and in self-defence.
I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure the population of Brentaal, and indeed all those who have interests in Vinda-Corp, that we shall be keeping out of the conflict, unless it is in a neutral capacity.."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Some sources have claimed that the trade-routes around Brentaal could be under threat, how would you respond to that?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"...With alarm, both the Hydian way and the , Permerlian trade spine are important arteries of commerce not just for Brentaal but for the whole galaxy. If threatened, we will defend it as best we can, until then, as far as we are concerned, its, <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> business as usual<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->..."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Do you think The New Order was justified in assaulting TRE, sorry, The Jutraalian Empire?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"..no comment.."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> ok, it is considered general knowledge that The Jutraalian Empire supported , and maybe have even had a hand in the assault upon Fondor, do you believe this could be justified?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"..no comment.."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Have you heard about the Emperor's condition?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"...yes I have, and I would like to express my sincere hope that he recovers to full health as soon as possible..."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> It is reported that Vinda-Corp has been involved in talks with both parties, is this true?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"...yes I have been in contact with both the New Order and The Jutraalian Empire, as Vinda-Corp deals with everyone ...but as the talks were of a sensitive nature, with regret, I cannot discuss them publicly"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> What do you make of the brief , unconfirmed break in the fighting?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"..I am encouraged, and I hope for the benefit of all parties involved that an agreement can be reached. To ensure lasting peace, can indeed be found.
I would also like to invite both Parties to Brentaal as neutral ground, to discuss , and perhaps reach some kind of settlement, Vinda-Corp <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> always<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> supports such dialogue..."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Lastly, but not least, some corners have expressed great alarm against ID-Tech, one of your competitors, many have critizised their tactics, claiming them to be "ruthlessly aggressive" and a front for some kind of military militia, do you have any thoughts on this?...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"..ID- who?..."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> ...Tech, ID-Tech...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

*As the entourage reached the top of the stairs, Vinda turned to face the reporter, a trace of a smile upon his face...*

"..no comment..."

*As the doors to the Trade hall opened, Vinda and the accompanying crowd entered, the feed mixed back into the studio with Victor once more behind his desk...*

"...there you have it, rest assured, when more news breaks, we will be covering it, until then, you have been watching VNN...

....coming up next, "do Humanoids dream of biological R2 units...", the weekly soap for Droids..."

*Gradually the feed mixes out from Victor to VNN's end graphics...*

Despite the fact that everything he says is as tainted by Vinda's greed as Daemon Hyfe's face is is by the warpaint he must decorate himself every morning before he resumes his bloodthirsty hunt for power, VNN is probably the only trustable news source out there.

It might be government funded, but the only reason it can be considered so is because Vinda took over Bonadan with money. That counts for at least a little more neutrality than Rogue Imperial broadcast frequencies that play Chadd Fearsons' cumbersome and tedious speaches, all day, every day.

No wonder the Rogue Empire is so violent -- I'd probably lose my mind, too, with that kind of programming.
